Night Worker Assessments

A night worker is anyone who regularly works for more than three hours between 11pm and 6am. Under the Working Time Regulations (1998), night workers are entitled to free regular health assessments. All employers have a duty of care to offer night workers an initial assessment and subsequent annual assessments.

Working at night doesn’t pose significant health risks to most people. However, it can affect some people’s health, and some conditions may be exacerbated by night working (e.g. diabetes, epilepsy, some respiratory conditions, depression and anxiety). In some cases, night work may affect an employee’s medication schedule, which could make their condition more unstable or cause other problems.

Wrightway Health offers a simple and responsive process that gives you the peace of mind that your employees are working safely. We can undertake regular medicals of any and all staff that need it.
