COVID-19 Testing and Advice
PCR testing via the Laboratory – COVID-19 Antigen RT-PCR
Swabs are sent to the laboratory for testing. We will use all reasonable endeavours to return the results of PCR tests within 3 (Three) working days (this does not include Saturday and Sunday), however, this cannot be guaranteed. We will provide the client with the results of tests within 2 working hours of receipt from the laboratory, by password-protected email. The password will be that as given by the patient at the time of the test.
We will make every reasonable endeavour to complete the test appropriately and the Laboratory will make every reasonable endeavour to analyse the sample. However, no result will be given, and no part of the fee shall be refunded if the sample cannot be analysed because the sample has degraded for any reason, including due to a delay in receipt at the laboratory, and or due to damage caused during delivery to the laboratory.
Rapid PCR testing –- COVID-19 Rapid (VitaPCR SARS-CoV2 Assay)
*Please Note – Rapid testing is only available in our Norwich branch*
!Regarding travelling, we ask that you check with your destination/airline as not all will accept rapid testing!
Swabs are tested at the time of taking with results available within an hour. In the event that a result is ‘positive’ from this test then it is advised that a Laboratory tested swab is then taken and processed. The cost of the Lab test would be in addition to the costs shown below and result will be produced within 72 hours.
We will use all reasonable endeavours to return the results of the rapid PCR tests within 1 (One) working hour, however this cannot be guaranteed.
