OGUK (Oil and Gas UK)
The OGUK medical assessment is required for all staff undertaking work in the UK offshore sector. Wrightway Health’s experienced and accredited doctors can carry this out for you, and upon completion you will be provided with an Oil and Gas UK Offshore Certificate. The OGUK medical now also includes certification to work on platforms in Norwegian and Dutch waters, with no additional medical required.

ENG1 price increases
We have been informed by the MCA ( Maritime Coastguard Agency) that the price of ENG1 medicals is to rise as follows
This is to advise you that from 13 November 2018, the Maritime & Coastguard Agency (MCA) will be increasing statutory fees.
There will be phased increases covering fees to survey a vessel and the fee for statutory medical examinations for seafarers (ENG).
The Seafarer Medical Examination Fee (ENG1 Fee) will increase in three stages from £95 to £115.
1st Phase; 13 November 2018 from £80 to £95
2nd Phase 13 November 2019 £95 to £105
3rd Phase 13 November 2020 £105 to £115.
This is the first increase in MCA fees since 2006. A consultation was carried out in 2016, involving customers, doctors and the maritime industry. MCA Approved Doctors provided valuable comments and evidence to the consultation. Responses to the consultation indicated that industry largely supports the increases, but welcomes the gradual phasing-in, which is designed to reduce the impact on businesses and individuals.
