By 1st January 2018, in-water training exercises with Category A PSTASS EBS equipment will be introduced to survival training courses (BOSIET and FOET) in the UK.
This means that any of your staff attending in-water offshore training for BOSIET and FOET will need to pass the Fitness to Train assessment. As per the Oil and Gas UK regulations, any training occurring in-water requires them to have a face to face medical assessment with an Oil and Gas UK Examining Doctor.
Wrightway Health will be offering the Fit to Train medical from the 1st December 2017 with one of our six OGUK Doctors. We have weekday availability in our Norwich, Gorleston and Ipswich clinics. We are advising all of our Energy Sector customers to start booking now to ensure continued compliance with this new regulation.
To ensure that you don’t have to send your team into us more often than absolutely necessary, we will be offering the Fit to Train medical as both a standalone medical and as a combined one with other relevant medicals such as OGUK, ENG1 and others. By combining the medicals, you not only save time but also costs so don’t forget to book everything at the same time where you can.
